In the ancient time the origin of lavender can be traced to Persia and the Spanish Canary islands. But these days, lavender is grown in many countries, such as: Tasmania, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, North America, Australia and, southern France, in last 5, 6 years Bulgaria became the biggest producer of lavender in the world with 40% of the world production outrunning France, which most people associate with lavender production.
